Rusty Whitfield

Rusty Whitfield was born in Pace, FL. in 1981. His family came from mostly farmers, oil company workers, and those involved in the ministries. Rusty began to play guitar at the age of 10, and by the age of 19 was touring with the Alternative band Room to Breath from Asheville North Carolina. He then moved back to Jacksonville Florida and began to pursue music that moved him in a different direction. In 2003, Rusty went to Nashville Tennessee where he wrote and played among some of the finest singers and songwriters in today's country music scene. Most recently he recorded his first solo album “Coming Home” in Muscle Shoals at FAME recording studios. Here he again surrounded himself with some of the worlds finest musicians and created a very dynamic album. This project brought out not only the writing and singing talents Rusty possess but also he co-produced this album.

Rusty has developed his own unique writing and acoustic performance style. He is going back to when country music touch the hearts and lives of everyone who listened. This could be because of his recent move back to his hometown of Pace Florida. Rusty has brought his music back home and hopes to help other musicians from his home. His first single, although not written by Rusty, is just that type of song. Entitled "Before I Die", written by two of the legendary songwriters of Nashville, Woody Mullis and Trey Matthews. "This is a song that touches your heart" says artist Rusty Whitfield. "I felt when I heard it I had to record it because of the song's strong message." Though, Rusty is exploring country music he also feels that there is something left in him to open other doors in the music industry. We will just have to see where Rusty Whitfield will take us next.
